Weber Is Early Choice To Develop County Lot C

Following an afternoon of interviews, members of a La Crosse County committee had a tough time choosing a developer for the courthouse parking lot. 

Some of them said two local groups had equally good ideas for commercial development on Lot C.  In the end, they gave the nod to L-H-I’s Don Weber, who appeared more prepared to hit the ground running than the Three Sixty Borton group.  The third choice was unanimous…a Twin Cities company that was criticized for offering a project which could be done in any city:

Campus study committee chair Joe Veenstra says both leading developers have ‘really neat’ ideas.  The Weber plan goes before another county committee in two weeks.
