Woman Dies In Fall From Winona Bridge

A woman has died after falling from the Winona bridge into the river this morning…

Police in Winona were told that a woman was seen on the other side of a barrier on the interstate bridge around 8 a-m.  By the time police arrived at the scene, the woman was floating in the water.  Her body was recovered a short time later.  The sheriff’s office says the woman apparently had walked to the bridge and did not leave a vehicle there.
