Former Lax Dentist Loses Appeal Of State Discipline Rulings

A former La Crosse dentist loses an appeal in a disciplinary case…

A Wisconsin court of appeals has upheld disciplinary steps taken against Dr. Jack Elder.  The state Dentistry Examining Board had punished Elder for improper billing practices to get insurance money, and for falsely filling out an application to practice as a dentist in California.  Elder claimed there was not enough evidence in the billing case, and argued that the board did not have authority over the California licensing.  But the appeals judges support the dentistry board’s actions in both cases.
