Cardinal Burke Praises Traditional Marriage At Shrine Anniversary

While same-sex marriage appears to be gaining acceptance in America, you won’t see acceptance of it in the Catholic church. 

Cardinal Raymond Burke praised traditional marriage during a message at the anniversary mass for the Guadalupe Shrine near La Crosse yesterday.  The former La Crosse bishop quoted the Book of Genesis, which sets down the tradition:

Burke noted that Pope Francis has called a synod of bishops for this fall, intended to reaffirm standard Catholic positions on family issues.  Thursday marked six years since the Shrine church in the hills off Highway 14 was dedicated.
