Huge Meth Lab Taken Down In Vernon County

Police from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department along with the Department of Criminal Investigation, and the West Central Metropolitan Enforcement Group raided two homes in Hillsboro Thursday around 11 a.m. As a result, four people are in jail and eight children are safe after they were rescued from a suspected meth making operation.

After months of investigating, Vernon County Sheriff John Spears says the bust is a big dea, finally busted two separate active meth labs. In both houses cops found red phosphorous meth, that can produce deadly gas. Along with the drug labs, police arrested two women, one at each house, and later arrested a man believed to be involved in Reedsburg. Officers also arrested an 18 year old woman, the daughter of two of the other suspects.

Names and charges of those arrested won’t be released until today.
