Bargaining With Weber On Lot C Project Begins Soon

Now, it’s time for the county to start negotiations with Weber Holdings on Lot C, the former Montgomery Ward block. The county’s executive committee meets this Wednesday to form a negotiating team for the discussions with Don Weber of Logistics Health. Weber’s plan for the parking lot was chosen over two other proposals late last month. About 500 new jobs could be brought to downtown if the plan is developed, according to Weber. A proposed agreement is supposed to be sent to the full county board by November.
