City Planner Larry Kirch Leaving La Crosse

The city of La Crosse has yet to fill its finance director position in city hall.  Now, the search will be on for a new city planner.  We’ve learned that Larry Kirch will be hired as Director of Development Services  for the city of Apache Junction in Arizona, a city of about 36 thousand.  Kirch leaves La Crosse after two decades of occasionally divisive development work in the city.  The Apache Junction city council is scheduled to ratify Kirch’s hiring at a meeting tomorrow.  Kirch will apparently start his new job next month.
