July Slightly Wetter Than Normal, But Much Cooler Than Average
If you were looking for a break from the area’s wet weather during July, you got it.
Compared to a June when La Crosse had 17 days of wet weather, the city had 18 days of dry conditions in July. And rainfall for the month was nearly two inches less than we had in June, with an even 5 inches in La Crosse. However, cool weather was the dominant trend in the area last month. The National Weather Service says we only had temps above the normal range on five days last month, and never really got close to a record high. On the other hand, we had 21 days of lows that were below the normal July range, and almost had a record low on July 3rd.
