Bloody Man Caught In Sparta

A Sparta man is in jail after trying to break into a funeral home early last

Saturday. Sparta cops were called after some folks saw a shirtless, bleeding man walking Montgomery Street around 4am. After cops caught up with 25 year old Trevor Riedel of Hixton, he took took off only to be collared moments later. Cops later found out that Riedel forcibly entered a home and broke a window at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home. Besides the 5 charges he is now facing, Riedel was also arrested for a Probation Violation, a Marathon County Warrant and a Jackson County Warrant.
