Area Sheriff Vote Totals

Three area sheriff’s races were voted on Tuesday. Trempealeau County
Sheriff, Richard Anderson advanced by defeating Terrence Daffinson. It was the third time Anderson, current sheriff, was challenged by Terry Daffinson. Anderson will now face independent Tim Hovell in the general election.
In Monroe County the race for sheriff was between Wes Revels and Scott Perkins. There are no candidates on the ballot in November. Perkins defeated Revels by 174 votes. The winner will be replacing the retiring Pete Quirin.
In Winona County, 6 candidates for sheriff sure brought voters to the polls. In the end, Deputy Bill Spitzer and deputy sheriff Ron Ganrude ended up winners, setting up a November show down for the pair. Sheriff Dave Brand announced earlier this year that he was hanging it up as well.
