Rail Line Competition Grows
The rapid growth in U.S. shipments of crude oil by rail is leading to some
concerns that the fight over rail space between oil and grain could rise. Especially in Wisconsin. Steve Huntzicker with the UW-Extension office in La Crosse
He says one positive this area has are barges that travel the Mississippi. Those grain shipments will continue to take some of the strain off of the constant growth of rail line oil shipments.
