Another Sparta School To Serve Free Breakfast
The Sparta Board of Education recently voted to provide breakfast at
no charge to all students. Universal Breakfast, as the program is called, will be available to all students regardless of household income starting in the 2014-2015 school year. Cindy Thesing oversees food service in Sparta.
The pilot program at Meadowview Middle will make the fifth Universal Free Breakfast program in the Sparta Area School District. Other sites include Lawrence Lawson, Southside and Maplewood elementary schools and Meadowview Intermediate.
