Gov. Walker Talks Of Zero Tolerance For Campus Rape At UWL

The rape charge against a young man enrolled at U-W-La Crosse has led to widespread discussion of safety on campus. 

Samuel Temple is accused of attacking a female student inside a La Crosse dorm last week.  U-W-L Chancellor Joe Gow points out that the campus has a ‘violence prevention coordinator’ to deal with physical threats against students.  And Governor Scott Walker says the state tries to discourage sexual assaults at colleges:

Walker says he and his wife have taught their college-age sons to show respect toward women.  The governor discussed sexual assault on campuses during a stop today at U-W-La Crosse.
