Waler Talks Voter ID In La Crosse
It will soon be easier for Wisconsin residents to get photo I-D cards.
Starting next week, the DOT will allow people to sign up for I-D without having to actually show a birth certificate. Governor Scott Walker believes the new plan pretty much eliminates the last objections anybody should have to a law requiring an I-D for voting:
Walker was at U-W-La Crosse on Wednesday, and repeated the argument that a photo I-D should be required at the polls because identification is needed for so many other everyday activities.
