Challenges To ID Law In Feds Hands Today
Area municipal clerks have picked up absentee ballots for this falls
elections. But as a federal appeals court in Chicago is listening to challenges to the state’s voter ID law today, La Crosse County Clerk Ginny Dankmeyer says any changes to the law now put her and other clerks behind the 8-ball.
Three Republican appointed federal judges have heard arguments about Wisconsin’s voter ID law and whether it should be reinstated for the November election. Nothing has been passed yet.
