One of the biggest taxpayers in La Crosse county is selling some of his holdings. Don Weber, founder of LHI and owner of the Riverside Center buildings in downtown La Crosse will sell those buildings to the current owner of LHI, United Health. The price has not been disclosed and Weber could not be reached for comment today. The three Riverside Center buildings together are assessed at about 40 million dollars. Weber and the city had been in talks to build a fourth building. It’s not immediately clear whether those plan are on hold. Weber has plans to turn an historic candy factory downtown into a luxury hotel and is the winning bidder on a seventy million dollar plan for the county’s parking lot downtown.
