The former Bishop of La Crosse reportedly will be transferred from his position as head of the highest court at the Vatican to a more ceremonial post.  Reports on the job change suggest that Pope Francis is trying to remove Burke and other conservatives from positions of leadership at the top of the church.  Burke has been praised, and criticized, as a defender of traditional Catholic Church policies.
