Campbell Can Negotiate With Police Chief, Or Decide Punishment
There’s no time pressure on the Town of Campbell to wrap up the investigation of its police chief…
Last week, the town board met in closed session to receive a report on Chief Tim Kelemen’s actions against a local political activist. Town attorney Brent Smith says the board now has the options of negotiating a settlement with Kelemen, appointing someone to consider penalties against the chief, or dropping the matter. Kelemen reached a plea agreement in court on criminal charges of harassing activist Greg Luce by signing him up for various websites.
