Record Crops a Bad Thing?
A record harvest of corn and soybeans could be coming out of fields soon
throughout the state. But some experts are warning that a productive harvest could do more harm than good. Steve Huntzicker with the La Crosse office of the UW Extension explains that statement.
The US Department of Agriculture is projecting farm incomes to drop by 14%. The record crops could drive already low prices even lower, meaning farmers could face taking a loss.
