Ona Features Historical Sites
Folks in Onalaska who live in a house built before 1965, or who work in an
older building, might be interested in preserving those buildings as historical landmarks.
City Hall wants to find those historic structures, so a grant application process has started to fund a building survey. Brea Grace of the Onalaska planning department says it’s not a full declaration of historic sites:
By doing such a survey, Grace says the city would be able to help owners of the older buildings qualify for tax credits to make improvements.
