Airport Releases Construction Timeline

When the La Crosse airport outgrew a small terminal on the east side of the

runway in the 1980’s, it built a large new facility on the west side. But now that building is showing its age, so 10 million dollars are being spent to modernize the La Crosse terminal.  Mayor Tim Kabat and other local leaders took part in a ground-breaking ceremony Monday, on the second floor of the terminal.  Airport manager Clint Torp says the changes will include more terminal space for an agency that didn’t exist when the building opened 25 years ago…the T-S-A:

The concourse plan will require the airport to move its restaurant and bar to a different spot on the upper level.  The ticket counters and car rental booths will stay where they are on the ground floor, but will be upgraded.
