Rushford-Peterson Referendum Next Tuesday

Tuesday marked seven years since a historic flood that caused
devastation for several communities in the Rushford, Minnesota area. Schools were damaged and the state has come through with some monies for repairs, but not enough. That’s why the school district there is asking voters next week to approve a $38 million measure to build a new pre-school to 12th grade building. Close to the failed referendum of 2012 says Superintendent, Chuck Ehler.
The building in Rushford was originally constructed in 1906, with additions in 1936, 1957 and 1968. The Peterson building is more than 60 years old. The district has yet to determine the fate of the old buildings if the referendum passes.
