Adults on probation in Wisconsin increased by 2.1 percent by the end of
2013. Probation cases also went up. And, adults on parole last year went down by 1.2 percent. La Crosse County D.A., Tim Gruenke explains the rise and fall.
Of 6800 Wisconsin inmates released from parole restrictions last year, 4 thousand completed requirements successfully, but 656 committed new crimes and went back to prison and more than 2015 were sent back for violating their parole conditions. 111 died.
