Beitlich Pleads ‘No Contest’ To Beating Sleeping Man In The Head

A Madison man has avoided a trial for attempted murder, by pleading to a lesser charge in a La Crosse beating

Thomas Beitlich (BITE-lich) said in court today that beating Terry Callahan Junior in the head was a big mistake:

Beitlich broke into the La Crosse home of his ex-girlfriend in October of last year, found Callahan sleeping there, and hit him repeatedly with a weapon.  Callahan is still being treated for severe brain trauma because of that attack.  Judge Ramona Gonzalez set sentencing for February.  Beitlich could get prison time for reckless injury, battery, and armed burglary.
