May Never Know Why Plane Crashed
The probable cause of the deadly plane crash near Caledonia last November will remain that way…just ‘probable.’
Federal investigators have posted their final report on the accident which killed three out of four men on the plane. The NTSB report concludes that the pilot lost control, apparently while trying to land at the Caledonia airport, but the weather was good and there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the plane. The four men from Michigan aboard the plane were on a hunting trip to the Dakotas. The only survivor thinks the pilot was trying to land to take a short break, halfway to their destination, but he can’t remember anything about the crash. The Caledonia crash was the last unsolved airplane accident out of six that occurred around the U-S that day.
