Speeding A Problem Again
Speeding seems to be a continuing problem in La Crosse County.
During a late October traffic safety task force deployment, police officers gave 14 citations and 23 warnings for speeding. Other numbers from that deployment show that 47 citations were issued to drivers for Operating While Intoxicated, lack of safety belt usage, speeding, operating after revocation or suspension and other traffic and car safety related issues. 58 warnings were issued to drivers for speeding, vehicle equipment problems, vehicle registration and other traffic safety or car safety problems.
