Mobil Oil Site Plan Likely Approved Tonight
After decades of planning and hoping, a major swath of land on La Crosse’s northside appears on the verge of being ready for development. The city council tonight is expected to adopt a long term master plan for the former Mobil Oil site. Mayor Tim Kabat says a healthy economy tells him there should be a push now to get something started on the 65 acre tract
The city has spent decades working on acquiring property and cleaning up the property now known as Riverside North. The master plan for the site is an outline of ideas that were hatched during a community planning process earlier this year.
