Campbell Police Chief Retiring, Claiming Disability Over Harassment
The police chief of Campbell is leaving his job today:
Ca ampbell town attorney Brent Smith announced that settlement last night…five months after Chief Tim Kelemen was placed on paid leave for using the internet to harass a Tea Party member. Kelemen is claiming medical disability, according to his attorney, as a result of criticism and threats for enforcing a town ordinance restricting political protests. Critics of Kelemen, who wanted him fired, call the settlement a ‘copout.’
