Ramp Parking Rates In La Crosse Could Go Up Next Year

For seven months now, drivers who use parking ramps in downtown La Crosse have been required to pay if they park for several hours…

But the times of day when rates are charged, and the amount of those rates, may be confusing.  A plan to raise the rate from the current 75 cents per hour to a dollar could be voted on early in the new year by the city parking board.  Even if a dollar becomes the standard rate, the ticketing gates still would not be set up to take dollar bills…just cards or coins.  And the first three hours of parking would still be free.
