Technology Helping The DNR With Deer Numbers
One of the world’s oldest traditions…hunting…is being assisted by new
technology in Wisconsin.
During the gun-deer season that began on Saturday, hunters are able to register their deer without ever leaving the field. Tom Hauge (HOW-gee) is a wildlife bureau director for the DNR:
Hauge was hunting in Richland County on opening day, and he told reporters that hunters and others in about 100 locations around the state were trying to track the deer herd this season.
