A New Lisbon man may now know who he is. This after a jail stay for telling

police officers three different names after a traffic stop. 24 year old Eli Brush was stopped by Sparta Police for an equipment violation. The driver, Brush, claimed he had no id. When asked to write down his information, Brush wrote down someone elses information. The information came back on file through DOT but did not match the driver. Brush admitted that he lied about his identity, and said he lied because he didn’t want to get in trouble. Brush then wrote down a different name, which again did not match his information. Brush, with his photo and tattoos matching DOC records, was finally identified.  After lying twice about his identity, Brush gave his correct name and repeatedly asked the cop to give him a break and not arrest him. Brush was arrested and booked into the jail on several charges.
