New Onalaska Celebration?

Most communities in the La Crosse area have a distinctive summer festival of

their own. Onalaska was known for Sunfish Days, until that celebration was discontinued.  But now, an event known as ‘Celebrate Onalaska’ is in the works for next summer, shortly before the 4th of July.  Jeff Trotnic, the city police chief, has been working in his spare time on the festival idea, and some of the activities to be offered:

Unlike Sunfish Days, Celebrate Onalaska would not have a parade.  But it would run for three days, from Friday through Sunday, concluding with the annual pops concert and fireworks at the Omni Center.
