Report On Fatal Hwy 35 Crash May Be Ready By Mid-Month

Cellphone records could help police figure out how a fatal crash near Holmen occurred last week…

The La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department plans to review the activity on driver Lacey Daily’s phone just before a head-on collision November 25th on Highway 35.  Sheriff’s investigator John Siegel says the phone activity could indicate whether Daily was distracted when her car crossed the center line of 35 and hit a car carrying two women from Holmen.  All three women died.  Toxicology tests may take two more weeks for the state crime lab to complete.
