Twin Cities Protestor Says More to Come
Shutting down an interstate for several hours isn’t something that goes unnoticed. So those who did it in Minneapolis on Thursday feel like they’ve achieved at least that. Melody Hoffman, a college professor in Minneapolis, was part of the protest, related to police treatment of minorities. She and a couple hundred others successfully turned I35W into a pedestrian mall. The type of protest that, she says, shows no signs of waning
The march apparently started as a protest against low wages but then morphed into a more pointed protest against grand jury decisions in the recent Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases.
