Dumbwaiter Accident Update

The cause of death was severe head injuries, for a Winona State student who

became caught in a restaurant dumbwaiter. According to Fountain City police, the autopsy on Brooke Baures found severe brain damage, apparently from getting her head caught in the food elevator at the WingDam Saloon and Grill last week.  Police believe Baures pushed a button for the dumbwaiter to go down from the second floor, and her head was inside the cab of the elevator when it started to descend.  The dumbwaiter has since been removed from the restaurant.
