Where Dem Turkeys Come From!
250 turkeys came out of this years Third Annual Wettstein’s Turkey
Takeaway Giveaway promotion. Customers of Wettstein’s and Lighting Design by Wettsteins were offered a free turkey with a purchase. Shoppers who didn’t want or need another turkey at home opted to donate their free bird to The Salvation Army. But that’s not where they all came from says Dan Wettstein.
In all, the turkeys weighed about three thousand pounds. The Salvation Army will be handing out 500 food baskets to individuals and families who pre-registered for help at Christmas time.
