Moore Says Madison Needs To Read New Health Report
A new health rankings report found that Wisconsin health insurance premiums
have more than tripled since 2000, increasing 211 percent statewide since then and as much 366 percent in some areas. U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore says some folks in Madison may want to take head to this finding.
Governor Scott Walker opted to use the national marketplace instead of creating a Wisconsin specific one. Citizen Action of Wisconsin released the report which also showed that across all types of health insurance the most expensive in Wisconsin is in the southeast, northwest, central and across the entire northern tier of the state. La Crosse’s ranked number 2 highest.
