Year-End Clock Is Ticking On Plans To Develop Courthouse Parking Lot

New Year’s Day seems to be the newest self-imposed deadline for La Crosse County to reach an agreement for developing a vacant city block.

Brian Fukuda from the county planning office says the county board could set a meeting for early next week to work out a final deal with Don Weber for putting buildings on Lot C.  That’s the courthouse parking lot.  The city of La Crosse also has a stake in the talks, because of the potential loss of downtown parking space if a bank or another business is built on that lot.
