Salvation Army Numbers Up But Down
The red kettles and bells have been put back in storage and the
numbers for the first part of The Salvation Army’s Christmas Red Kettle Campaign are in.
Julie Nelson with the La Crosse Army says the amount of money collected in the kettles alone is up 19% from last year, but the total campaign is down by 2% from last year. The campaign is now at 68% of the goal of $825 thousand. The campaign runs through the end of January.
