Driver Promises To Get Sober Following Crash Into Burger King
A 25-year-old woman admits her life was pretty messed up last year, when she drove her boyfriend’s car into the wall of a La Crosse Burger King, after jumping the curb.
Kiara Kiesow (KEY-sow) says she’s not the same person she was the night of that crash, when she claimed to have consumed a 12-pack of beer and huffed a cleaning product. Kiesow turned herself into the county jail this month after skipping past court appearances, and tells Judge Elliott Levine that she wants to make more progress:
After pleading guilty to drunk driving and possessing a hazardous substance, Kiesow was sentenced to probation, and is expected to attend O-W-I court. Levine says the accident could have been disastrous, if Kiesow had crashed through the restaurant window instead of hitting the building at the drive-up lane.
