Council Prez; City Hall Streamlining Still in the Works

One key change to city government in La Crosse has yet to happen.  City council president Dick Swantz thinks the streamlining of city departments could be the most significant in a list of changes that were recommended by a consultant last spring.  He says the delay to make the change shouldn’t be misconstrued

Swantz believes the move to concentrate authority in city hall under just a handful of department heads very likely will happen this year and says he will be disappointed if it does not.
