Consultant to Recommend Transportation Plans
A consultant will get paid 25 thousand dollars by the city of La Crosse to come up with ideas to address transportation needs. That’s in a plan adopted by the city council’s finance committee at a Tuesday meeting. The plan is in response to the state DOT extending the time that the agency will hold on to a promise of $138 million in transportation funding that could lead to a north south corridor through the city. The consultant selected expects to take up to 7 weeks to deliver recommendations. The full council votes on whether to fund the consultant at a meeting tomorrow.
