Intersection Changes Indicative of Balance in Transportation

The determination of what to do with one intersection in La Crosse is somewhat symbolic of other transportation considerations in the city.  That’s how mayor Tim Kabat sees it.  The city’s board of public works this week considered narrowing the intersection at 8th and Main to make it easier for pedestrians going to and from the library.  Kabat says plans for the intersection is one that highlights the importance of finding a balance between cars and those on foot or bicycles

Kabat says he plans to continue finding ways to make it easier for pedestrians and bicyclists to get around the city.  Even if those improvements come at the expense of making it easier to get around by car.
