Oil Spill Report Out

What would happen if a train derailed in the area and spilled…oh let’s

say……150 thousand gallons of oil in the Mississippi River?

A report on that scenario was released this week by the county’s emergency management department. Director, Keith Butler tells us that 125 individuals participated in an October exercise. Lot’s to be learned about that drill….including the need for more training, communication and better preparedness in the event a spill were to happen.
