Search For Missing Man Suspended Until Spring
The search for a missing man in the Mississippi River, one of the longest in
Winona County in a long time, has been suspended until the spring. 27 year old Joshua Xiong of Onalaska has been missing since November 9th, when he failed to return from a fishing trip close to the lock and dam. Winona County Sheriff Ron Ganrude says they have been searching for almost two months but it was suspended because the river has frozen over. Xiong’s boat went through a roller gate at the Dresbach Lock and Dam Number 7. His heavily damaged boat was found about a mile downstream.
