Onalaska Food Program Working Well
The Onalaska School District launched the School Nutrition Lunch Fund last
November. The goal……to make sure kids can eat even if their school lunch accounts drop below zero dollars. Kerry Johnson, the district’s director of school nutrition services tells us the program is working so far.
Before looking for individual donations, Johnson said she hopes to work with businesses and organizations in the city first. That way, she can judge what kind of community support the program would get.
