What Happened To The Independence City Council

The city of Independence is looking for three new city council members, who

can take office as soon as possible.  The council in Independence lost a majority of its members recently when one died and two resigned.  City Hall is now taking applications for the three vacant council seats.  The filing deadline is next Friday, the 16th, and new aldermen will be appointed the following Monday.  One new alderman will serve until the election this April, while the other two will be on the council through the spring of 2016.
