Former Teacher Guilty Of Sex Assaults

A former area teacher has pleaded guilty to the sexual assault of some of

his young students. 39 year old Jason David Barker of Winona taught at the La Crescent Montesorri Academy. He was arrested a year ago, accused of six counts of the sexual assault of students. He admitted meeting with the girls in his office, where he touched them inappropriately. Barker could get up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in March. He will also face the loss of his teaching license.
