County Leader Says Vote Not Needed For Wheel Tax
You don’t need a referendum. La Crosse County administrator Steve O’Malley
has that message for the county board, which is considering a yearly vehicle fee to help finance road repairs. O’Malley says referendums might work well for school districts, but he thinks a county board should be able to make tough decisions without seeking a public vote first:
