Just Missed On Minnesota Roads
Their goal was to reduce traffic deaths in Minnesota to 350 last year, and just missed that mark.
But the Minnesota DOT says the estimated highway toll of 356 during 2014 would still be the second lowest in the state since World War Two. It’s a sharp drop from a decade ago, when 655 people died on Minnesota roads in 2003. During that decade, the number of deaths related to drunk driving in Minnesota has gone down about 60 per cent.
